The Distinguished Service Award (DSA) Program is an excellent way to recognize outstanding contributions by association members and to encourage participation in association activities.

The DSA program will be administered by the DSA committee.  This committee will be comprised of, the most recent Past President, the Vice President, and the Treasurer.  In the absence of one of these members, another member of the Executive Board can vote.

There is no predetermined number of DSA awards presented at the Annual meeting; all deserving members should be nominated and recognized.

Guidelines for NECA DSA Program

1. Who is eligible for this award? 
   • An individual who makes a notable contribution to the Association and its goals during the past year/s, and promotes education in the industry, or
   • Promotes the occupation of a claims’ professional through networking, mentoring etc., or
   • Demonstrates passion & professionalism in their role as a claims’ professional.
   • Research/brings forth ideas that help the Association reach its goals of financial stability, to ensure the future of the Association.
   • Implements new programs/ideas
2. What is the deadline for submitting nominations to the committee?  All nominations must be received by the DSA committee by May 25^th, in order to be prepared for June meeting.
3. Awards will be presented at the June annual meeting.

Awards Number of awards would be dependent on the amount available in the budget. Awards will be in 3 levels, depending on the contribution to NECA:

• Gift (value $50)
• Executive Board Award $100
• Founding President-Millea Award $200
